University Talent and Innovation Centre inaugurates a Workshop.

On behalf of His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Faleh Bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy, the Vice - President for Development and Quality, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili, has opened a workshop to support innovation in the University. The workshop was organized by Talent, creativity, and entrepreneurship Center at King Khalid University, in cooperation with Bab Rizq Program to support talents and innovations of University students, and improve these innovations to be real promising projects.

Upon his arrival at the sight of the workshop, Dr. Aljbaili was briefed on the accompanying exhibition to the workshop, which included 13 projects presented by talented students of the university, sponsored by the talent, creativity, and entrepreneurship center.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the center's director, Dr. Mohammed Al Maghrabi, gave a word in which he happily welcomed the Vice - President, the attendees and the representatives of Bab Rizq program, praising the program's support by the University and its students, and the presence of its representatives and their interest in talent. Dr. Al Maghrabi pointed out that the center always sought to highlight and support talent in order to be live projects on the ground, stressing that the center was always keen to exploit the opportunities inside and outside the university, to support talented people and encourage them, and to provide facilities for them. He also pointed out that last year, SABIC Company embraced university innovations, and "we are - God willing – looking for other high-level sponsorships to the innovations of the university". Then, there was a visual presentation about talent, creativity and entrepreneurship center, through which vision, mission, objectives, and the most prominent achievements of the center were displayed.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Aljbaili, stressed that the talent and creativity center of the university was an emerging center, but it is moving in the right direction, adding that there was a future plan for the center and a promising change from the concepts of creativity in the university. Dr. Aljbaili called on the students to take advantage of the center's services and to actively participate in its activities. He said, "The center cares about students and their talents, and provides them with many facilities and support, so talented students should take advantage of those services and should feel free to request support for their respective talents." Dr. Aljbaili further directed an invitation to the faculty members of the university to support young talents, as well as his call for national companies to activate their role in the care of the sons of the homeland, through their participation in the various activities of the university.

After that, there was a brief introduction about Bab Rizq program, which included vision, mission, and objectives of the program, in addition to its areas of work, and how to make use of its services for students.

At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the Vice - President for Development and Quality, offered a commemorative trophy for the representatives of Bab Rizq program. In addition, the talent and creativity center honored the Vice - President for his support and interest in the center and in its activities.

It is worth mentioning that the Talent and Innovation Centre at King Khalid University held last week, the effectiveness of "my idea", so as to arbitrate the students' participation for the year 1437 / 1438 AH, within the activities of the center. The event took place in the central terraces at the university headquarter in Abha, while the women's event was held via the network in Women headquarter in Alsamr.
