Precautionary Measures for COVID-19 on KKU Campuses Continues

As part of the precautionary measures that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is taking to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Vice President, Prof. Mohammed Al-Buhairi, confirmed King Khalid University's commitment to applying the highest level of safety standards will continue in the sterilization of all buildings. Vice President Al-Buhairi explained that the entities responsible for maintenance and security will redouble their efforts in following the approved protocols, noting that regulations were issued to ensure student, faculty member, and staff safety at the start of the fall 2020 semester.

 

Director of the General Administration of Maintenance, Eng. Amer Al-Zaila'i, explained that his team implemented several protocols following the decisions issued to control the spread of COVID-19. Director Al-Zaila'i highlighted that his team, in collaboration with other relevant task force groups, is currently controlling and monitoring the campus gates, collecting information about visitors, providing medical sterilizers, and measuring all employees' temperature.

 

Director of the General Administration of Safety and Security, Mr. Ali Al-Qahtani, explained that his team is also distributing masks and gloves to all security personnel and making sure that they are worn, as well as sterilizing office doors and elevator buttons in all university buildings in cooperation with facility maintenance representatives.
