The closing ceremony of the General Security Courses

Under the patronage of the Rector of King Khalid University (KKU), Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, on Wednesday 11/4/1437, conducted the closing ceremony of the courses that it has provided for 350 trainees from the employees of General Security in Asir. The courses took place in the first semester of the academic year 1436 / 1437 AH. The ceremony was attended by the Director of police in Asir, Maj. Gen. Saleh Suleiman Alqrzei, and a number of managers and employees of the security sectors in the region.

During his speech at the occasion, Rector Al-dawood explained, "It is an honor to the University to serve this precious and effective sector, which is one of the most important sectors in the country." He added, "The University welcomes any cooperation with the General Security sector, as well as any other sectors. It is one of the most important duties entrusted to the university." He also stressed that the university was always ready to provide training topics needed by the security sector, even if it needs to bring specialists from outside the university to do so.

On the event, the Commander of the General Security Training City, Colonel Misfer bin Mohiuddin Al-Qahtani, gave a word in which he stressed that everyone felt proud of the graduation of that batch. He said, "Courses provided by King Khalid University will, God willing, definitely help the employees of General Security to perform their duty, and all this by the grace of God first, and then thanks to the unlimited support given by our government in various fields, to the extent that we all became proud of our dignity, security and safety. "

For his part, Major Zaid Al-Qahtani, and on behalf of the graduates, gave a word in which he expressed the happiness of the General Security staff in Asir, who are 350 in number. He said, "Knowledge, skills, and technology that had given to us by King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, will surely improve our skills while performing our duty to defend the homeland and all in it. Moreover, these training courses have in them rooted concepts and professional skills that will make us eager to enter field works with the aim of to applying what we have learned."

The Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Dr. Mubarak Hamdan, used the occasion to explain that the Deanship held those courses in the light of the partnership between the university and the General Security sector. The Deanship has arranged more than 19 training courses, 8 of them were short courses while the other courses took three months, and had been attended by more than 350 employees of the General Security. The Dean said, "Mainly, the deanship would like to feel the impact of training courses on the trainees when returning to work, and this gives us an opportunity to assess and review our programs so as to improve them in the future."

It is noteworthy that the Deanship had conducted a number of courses in various fields including office administration, English Language, computer applications, edit letters of offers, crisis management, human rights, crowd management, Criminal Procedures system, and the system of legal proceedings in various provinces of Asir region.
