The Governor of Asir Region Inaugurates Scholarship Charity Fund

Governor of the Asir Province, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, inaugurated the King Khalid University Charity Fund. The purpose of the fund is to raise money to provide scholarships for specific university programs. These scholarships will focus on education that supports Vision 2030, enhances Islamic principles and encourages public service. His Royal Highness will serve as the fund's honorary President.

 

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, thanked His Royal Highness for his support and patronage of the charitable fund. The Rector noted that the scholarship charity fits well within the framework of educational, social and scientific advancement initiatives within the university. General Supervisor of the Department of Scholarships, Dr. Saeed Al-Shahrani, explained that the funds raised will be well utilized to train young people in specific fields to support the national development strategy. The investment in these scholarship students will help advance social, cultural and economic interests of the Asir region and the Kingdom.
