University Rector Receives Small and Medium Enterprises Incubator License

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, received the Small and Medium Enterprises Incubator License from the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises. The license was handed to the university rector by Vice Rector of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, in the presence of the Director of the Center for Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mohammad Al-Maghrabi, and a number of university members and employees.

 

It is worth noting that the authority provides licensure opportunities for companies, universities, governmental bodies, associations, and civil institutions. Conferral of the license is conditional pending stipulation agreement. They include but are not limited to: A feasibility study, a comprehensive description of the incubator's activities and services, a policy of acceptance, and a beneficiary capacity study.

 

Director Al-Maghrabi explained that the University's keenness to obtain this license comes from the interest of the Center for Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, which provides facilities to support the entrepreneurship sector for university students and its employees and graduates. All activities, he noted, are completed to boost the economy in accordance with the ambitious vision of the Kingdom.

 

Director Al-Maghrabi thanked Rector Al-Solamy for his unlimited support for the Center's various activities, the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises for its efforts in supporting entrepreneurship in various Saudi universities, and Vice Rector Al-Shahrani for supporting the Center's activities and programs.
