Vice Rector Sponsors International Day of Radiology Celebration

On behalf of King Khalid University, Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Du'ajim, opened the International Day of Radiology on the 12th of Rabīʿ Al-Awwal. The event was organized by the Radiology Department in the Faculty of Applied Sciences, the Radiology Club, Siemens International Radiology Administration, Al-Ghad Medical College, and Saudi German Hospital.

Vice Rector Du'ajim praised the efforts that contributed to the success of the event, noting that the Radiology Department and the participating booths did a fantastic job. He explained that taking part in international events spreads awareness and knowledge about new opportunities.

Radiology Department Head and Event Supervisor, Dr. Maqbool Al-Olayan, welcomed the attendees and participants, confirming that the department and the college are keen to connect to the field of specialization and to offer academic and social services. He then welcomed the Al-Fasil High School students in Khamis Mushait and Abha High School students who are interested in the field of radiology.

Al-Olayan thanked all those who contributed to the success of the event, pointing out that this annual event was established on November 8th, 2012. It is part of the American and European initiative to celebrate the science of radiology. 'The department is proud to celebrate the achievements of radiologists in the university and around the world,' he concluded.

From the participating entities, Assistant Director of Medical Services in the Asir region, Dr. Saleh Al-Qahtani, thanked the Applied Medical College and the Department of Radiology for the opportunity to celebrate the International Day of Radiology. He also thanked all who contributed to the success of the event, stressing that the spread of awareness and knowledge serves the community.
