As part of King Khalid University's 15th Annual Book Fair and Exhibition, a poetry evening was held on Friday in partnership between the Deanship of Library Affairs and Abha's Literary Club. The evening was hosted by Dr. Abdullah bin Sulayem Al-Rasheed and poet Ibrahim Miftah.

Moderator Abdulrahman Asiri briefly introduced the two poets and referred to their history of literature and poetry. Afterward, the two poets recited a number of poems that won the approval and satisfaction of the audience.

In addition to the cultural events, the exhibition included a number of pavilions, which were held for the first time in the fair. The most interesting to visitors was the price reduced book booth, which boasted more than 1,500 books from all participating publishing houses at discounted prices. The exhibition also included a 'Book Club' for the exchange of books under the name of 'The Book Carrier'; the idea behind this booth is to spread knowledge by allowing readers to exchange books that have been previously read with new books.

It is worth mentioning that King Khalid University's 15th Annual Book Fair and Exhibition has received a large number of visitors and attendees who have taken part in the activities and events accompanying the fair in the first three days of its opening. The fair will continue until the 10th of Safar.
