His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud recently sent a telegraph of thanks to His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Aldawood. Earlier, Rector Aldawood presented a gift to the Crown Prince. The gift was a copy of the research that was presented at the International Insurance Institutions and Actuarial Professions in Saudi Arabia Conference hosted by King Khalid University.

 

Of note, the conference received generous support from Asir Gov. Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz. Regarding participation, there were 66 scientific papers with nearly one-third of the submission being international. The number of participants in the conference reached 90, including 54 from inside the Kingdom and 36 from outside. There were 63 men involved in the event and 27 women.

 

The conference, which added to the academic and professional status to insurance and actuarial professions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, also aimed at supporting the great progress in the insurance sector in the Kingdom, as well as evaluating the special Saudi experience in the area, in addition to enriching scientific research literature in this new area in the UK, and supporting the establishment of academic programs in the areas of insurance and actuarial science in universities and educational institutions in Saudi Arabia.
