Establishing a Budget Efficiency Unit

King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Sulami, issued an administrative decision to establish a Budget Efficiency Unit, to enable the university units to achieve budget efficiency excellence, by setting the necessary policies, providing service delivery models, and finding effective data-based solutions, through an institutional work frame that ensures a sustainability of solutions. 

On his part, the University Vice President, Dr. Mohammed bin Hamid Al Buhairi, declared that the tasks of the Unit include: an increase of budget efficiency, studying the details of budget and operation practices in the university, identifying the opportunities to achieve budget sufficiency, suggesting regulations related to budget efficiency and adjust those suggested regulations, accrediting the indicators and criteria of budget efficiency measurements, adopting the best practices and technical implementations, preparing reports to measure and monitor the budget efficiency in the unit, and nominating a proper entity to handle the implementation of the university's initiatives and programs.

The tasks of the unit also include: revising the university's initiatives and programs to meet the 2030 Vision, in addition to holding meetings, symposiums and training workshops that are specialized in budget efficiency, cooperating with the relevant governmental entities, providing administrative and technical advices regarding budget efficiency, and encouraging the university departments and units to excel in budget efficiency. 

It's worth noting that King Khalid University has achieved positive results in operation and budget efficiency by implementing a number of practices and procedures. This unit is established to enhance the university's role in this area.
