$80,000 Slated for Winners of Arabic Calligraphy Competition

King Khalid University continued to receive participation from candidates interested in the Arabic Calligraphy Competition, which was launched last Monday, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir. The competition — formed in line with the Ministry of Culture's Year of Arabic Calligraphy — was inaugurated by His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, as part of the "Mobaderoon" initiative.

 

Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Prof. Omar Alwan Aqeel, explained that awards of the competition will total $80,000 in seven categories. First place in each category will be awarded 5,000 sar, second place will be awarded 3,000 sar, third place will be awarded 2,000 sar, and fourth/fifth place will be awarded 1,000 sar.
