His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, issued a standing directive to support more than 60,000 students in accord with the full transformation to E-learning. In line with providing a student-centered atmosphere, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy explained that clear indicators were planned and benchmarked to other leading international universities, noting that successful integration to online learning is dependent upon robust teacher training. The 'Tamkeen' team at the Deanship of E-Learning responded to the call through the development of specialized training videos that are now approaching 40,000 views on YouTube. This too is complemented by the Deanship of E-Learning's open resources channel on YouTube, which has surpassed over 120,000 views in just one week.

Much of the information above was released in a report delivered by the Deanship of E-learning. In that same report, it was noted that technical support services beneficiaries have reached more than 3,500 students so far. Also, nearly 8,200 synchronous virtual classrooms have been conducted in Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate, or Blackboard Ultra, while 2,500 students have benefited from asynchronous training.

Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, Dr. Saad Du'ajim, confirmed that the higher committee supervising the Electronic Transformation Plan is continuously monitoring progress to ensure all operational issues are resolved. He further noted that e-learning supervisors within each college, who serve as the first point of contact and a subject matter expert on the effective use of Blackboard, were integral to the rapid shift of lectures to a fully online mode. Additionally, contracts and negotiations were also entered with Zoom to integrate into our learning management system. This effort led by the Deanship of E-Learning was essential to uninterrupted and high-quality online learning and teaching.

Dean of E-learning, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmari, explained that his team made every effort to establish student-centered policies and procedures to benefit from E-learning as required. He added the Deanship of E-Learning's role is not limited to technical support, noting that the user experience is the foundation of an attractive online learning environment.

Concerning students with special needs, Khamis Mushait Community College Dean, Dr. Ahmad Al-Muraee, explained that the college in cooperation with the Deanship of E-Learning and the Center of Persons with Special Needs approved the adoption of full e-teaching, noting the availability of interpreters is a critical success factor.

Concerning graduate studies, Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Saad Al-Amri, explained that online sessions for defending doctoral and masters theses were held. Dean Graduate Studies, Dr. Ahmad Al-Fayea, highlighted that more than a hundred people attended every thesis defense session.

Of noteworthy mention, the administrations of Information Technology and Cyber Security implemented online work management mechanisms. CIO Dr. Mohammed Alsaqer explained that five electronic services were prepared for this process. He also added that every beneficiary and visitor from outside the university could benefit from these services.
