Asir Governor thanks University President
His Royal Highness, the Governor of Asir region, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz - may God protect him - has sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood. His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal, sent the letter as an appreciation to the university's distinctive efforts in the success of "Our country is responsibility" initiative. The initiative was organized earlier by the Emirate of Asir region, under the patronage of his Royal Highness, the Governor.
In his letter, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal said "We would like to express our thanks and appreciation to you and the accompanying team for your work and efforts that contributed effectively to the success of this initiative and its accompanying exhibition."
It is worth mentioning that the initiative was accompanied by an exhibition that highlighted materials designed to promote integrity, and to fight corruption in all its forms and manifestations, in addition to instilling religious, moral and scruples values about renouncing and combating corruption.
Aldawood: Those initiatives contributed to the advancement of both the country and the citizen
For his part, the Rector of the university expressed his happiness and gratitude to this tribute, which he considered an insignia on the chests of all King Khalid University staff. The Rector also thanked His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz - the Governor of Asir region - for his patronage of the "Our country is our responsibility" initiative; an initiative that aims at instilling high values in the citizens. Rector Al Dawood pointed to the interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - may God protect him and His government - in keeping the constant follow-up and the support for all that is good for the religion and the nation. Rector Al Dawood said, "Such initiatives aims at strengthening national responsibilities, which require us all, to strengthen the concepts of honesty, integrity, and anti-corruption efforts, while our government seeks to build a nation on solid foundations of justice, transparency, ethical commitment, and loyalty, in addition to consolidating the concepts of integrity at all levels." Rector Al Dawood also stressed that those initiatives contributed to the advancement of both the country and the citizen through the establishment of the National Authority for Combating Corruption, which aims at tackling corruption, its manifestations, regulations related to it, and knowledge of all the circumstances and causes of its outbreak. Additional aims include raising awareness of the importance of, and the need for integrity, and the strengthening of religious faith, in addition to belonging to the homeland, and consolidating the anti- corruption concepts.
