Asir civil Defense seeks partnership with the University.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and the Religion Fundamentals of King Khalid University, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hamid has emphasized that the Faculty shoulders a great responsibility in serving the community. The Faculty could help in making the members of the community conscious of the Islamic religious affairs through providing answers to their questions and inquiries, besides developing a generation capable of elaborating the religion, its civilization and the nation.

This assertion was made during a meeting with the Director of Asir Civil Defense, Major General Mohammed bin Rafaa Al-Shehri. The meeting which took place on Tuesday 18/1/1435 AH, was at the Dean's office. The two officials discussed ways of building an effective partnership between the university represented by the Faculty of Sharia and the Religion Fundamentals, and the Asir General Directorate of Civil Defense. Partnership will be focused on areas of creating awareness through organizing programs, which will include lectures, as well as awareness messages in a variety of legitimate subjects. Moreover, the two sides intend to hold specialized courses for the people and the spokesmen, in addition to courses on the Holy Quran, the Hadith (Prophet Muhammad's actions) Jurisprudence, and Belief. Courses are to be provided by a group of the faculty members.

On this regard, Major General Al-Shehri thanked the University President, and the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and the Religion Fundamentals, for their unwavering support in the success of the awareness programs. He stated that these programs were held last year in cooperation with the Faculty Stakeholders and the employees of the Directorate. He also stressed on the necessity to keep organizing such programs, as they have great positive impact.
