Rector Meets the University Archeological Excavation Team

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, recently met the supervisor of King Khalid University's 11th Season Archeological Excavation Team at Jarash, Prof. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Marzog, and his team at the main campus.

 

On the occasion, His Excellency expressed his joy and appreciation towards the team effort and the outcomes of the excavation in addition to the experienced gained by the students in the field. He added that the findings encourage the university to support such projects, wishing the team future success. Rector Al-Solamy then handed the team members thank you notes as a token of appreciation to the efforts and work demonstrated by the team.

 

The university team joined the excavation under the guidance of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) program, which operates under a mandate from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him. Of noteworthy mention, this season has witnessed an expansion in the archaeological site, which is located 15 kilometers south of Khamis Mushait.
