Certified Professional Law Program to Issue License to Practice Upon Completion

The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education is pleased to announce the start of the first law training program to end with a law license. This program is part of the partnership program between King Khalid University and the Ministry of Justice represented by law training company, 'Elm'.

 

Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, Dr. Omar Aqeel, explained that the program aims to provide law students with the experience needed that will allow law students the opportunity to practice and learn in a professional environment that prepares law students for the professional world.

 

Dean Aqeel stressed that the program provides a training module that offers a law license when completed. It also includes both theoretical and practical components in addition to field work that is designed to provide quality outcomes in a professional environment. He also explained that the program consists of a variety of courses in accord with the needs of the job market in the best interests of the trainees. Dean Aqeel added that the program will offer career development courses, talks, and sessions to train and develop law skills. He then stressed that when establishing the program, the Deanship of Community Service an Continuing Education was very keen to recruit top-notch instructors from King Khalid University and the Ministry of Justice. Of note, the program is also supervised by the Justice Training Center in the Ministry of Justice.

 

The program includes a three-year career path for undergraduate students. The first year will span two-semesters, focusing on the cognitive aspects at a rate of (16) hours per semester distributed over (9) courses. The second year will focus on the practical side of the law, while the third year includes a working experience in Sharia courts, legal departments, and law offices. At the end of the program, trainees will receive a certificate, awarding them a diploma in law and a certificate for each training course attended during the program, after which the trainee will be able to contact the Ministry of Justice and be issued a license to practice.
