Faculty Member Earns Cabinet-Level Appointment
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's most recent session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon. In that session, the Council of Ministers approved the appointment of members to the Board of Directors for the e-Learning National Center. King Khalid University is proud to announce that one of our own, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Yahia Al-Muhaya, has been appointed as a member to the Board of Directors of the National Center for e-Learning. This cabinet-level appointment, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, is for a period of three years. His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R.M. Al-Solamy, congratulated Dr. Al-Muhaya on his appointment and wished continued success and the assistance of God in helping him execute the duties of this important appointment. Dr. Al-Muhaya is a recognized expert and respected leader in the field of e-learning.
Dr. Al-Muhaya expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He also thanked the Council of Ministers and the Board of Directors of the National Center for e-Learning for their faith in appointing him to this position. Dr. Al-Muhaya promised to fulfill his duties with great care and attention to the best of his abilities. Dr. Al-Muhaya extended his gratitude to Rector Al-Solamy for his continuing support that led to him achieving this honorable appointment.
Dr. Al-Muhaya is a longtime faculty member and a consistent high performer in both academics and university administration. He has held a number of senior roles at the university. They included being e-Learning Deanship Vice Dean, Information Technology Directorate General Supervisor, e-Transaction Strategic Plan Supervisor, and currently Educational Technology Department Head at the Faculty of Education. Dr. Al-Muhaya holds memberships and honorariums and is an often published scientific researcher and expert in his field.
