Al-Hasoun, Al-Humaid, and Al-Qarni Headline Poetry Evening

As part of the 15th Annual Book Fair activities, a poetry evening was hosted by Vice Rector, Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Hasoun, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Humaid, university advisor, and Prof. Awad Bin Abdullah Al-Qarni on Tuesday the 7th of Safar. University Media General Supervisor, Dr. Mufleh Al-Qahtani, moderated the evening.

The moderator of the evening welcomed the participants and briefed the audience on the background and work of the poets. The evening began with Vice Rector Al-Hasoun's piece titled 'Sanaa a Sister to Riyadh' and a poem titled 'Abha'. Dr. Al-Humaid delivered a poem about his late father, several national poems, and a piece on King Khalid University. Dr. Al-Qarni delivered a poem dedicated to soldiers stationed on the southern border, a poem about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and a piece titled 'Al-Huriya' recounting the value of the Arabic language.

At the end of the evening, Dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Nasser, honored the poets for their participation and thanked the audience.
