University Rector Honors KKU Archeology Team in Jaresh

His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solamy, honored the University’s Archeology Team for their participation in the 10th Archeological Excavation Project. Over the course of the last decade, the highly touted trial excavations took place at the Jaresh Site in Ahad Rufaidah. The team was accompanied by Excavation Team Supervisor, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Marzooqi, who presented the final report on the development-led excavations.

In his speech which is documented in the Golden Record, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy said: "I am pleased to welcome the Archeology Team and Dr. Ali Al- Marzooqi. I am also very pleased with the valuable experience and participation of students in the Jaresh archeological dig."

It is worth mentioning that the University Archeology Team participated in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques National Commission for Tourism and National Heritage Program with the partnership of the Tourism Commission in Saudi Arabia.
