A partnership agreement between the university and the disabled care society in Abha

A signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between King Khalid University and the Care of the Disabled Association in Abha was held yesterday at the headquarters of the Main Assembly. The Association was represented by the President of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, the Chairman of the Society, His Royal Highness, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and from the University, the Rector Dr. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al Solamy.

This agreement comes within the framework of the continuous cooperation between the two parties, based on their shared responsibility towards the community of Aseer region, and the pursuit of complementarity between the two parties, with the aim of raising the level of programs and activities that serve the human development.

The Dean of Research and Consulting Studies at the University, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Hadithi, said that the University is always seeking to make such partnerships, as part of its multiple responsibilities towards its country and society, in addition to its keenness on the various partnerships targeting the university and its students.

It is worth mentioning that the cooperation includes the provision of medical services from the University through faculty members in the fields of Pediatrics, Neurology, and Dentistry. In addition, the cooperation includes the provision of awareness-raising lectures, seminars, and guidance for children with disabilities and their parents in disability tracks, in addition to the provision of workshops on early diagnosis of disabilities, and give an opportunity for the University employees to support the Association. Furthermore, the university could offer scientific and technical consultations for the Association for the care of the disabled, through colleges, scientific departments, research centers, and expert houses.
