His Excellency the Rector of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al dawood has paid a check-up visit yesterday evening to the new Academic Complex in Tehama, Asir. The complex contains faculties for girls, in both literary and scientific disciplines. First, the Rector was received by the Vice - President for Projects, Dr. Suleiman Saleh Al soyan. The Rector also was received by the supervisor of the university branch in Tehama, Dr. Mohammed Al-Mezher, in addition to a number of engineers and supervisors on the location, who gave a detailed explanation of all matters relating to the stages of construction. The visitor was briefed on services, facilities and means of security and safety in the building. During his visit, the Rector thanked all workers on the great effort they are putting in the project. He said, "Your effort is obvious and proven through the qualitative leap which has been witnessed in the girls' colleges' complex in the University of Tehama"

On hih part, Dr. ALl-Mezher emphasized that the Rector's visit to the site confirmed the Rector's diligence and attention to the educational process in general and the students in particular. The new Academic Complex includes about 17 departments in literary and scientific disciplines. The departments are equipped with modern television networks so as to contribute to serving more than 6,000 students in all regions that are affiliated to Tehama, Asir province.

His Excellency the  President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, accompanied by a considerable number of the University employees and students, paid a visit to the injured members of the ground forces who are involved in the "Decisive Storm" operations at the southern border. The injured soldiers are receiving the needed treatment at the King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital in Khamis Mushayt.

The visiting delegation was received by the Director General for the Medical and Technical Affairs of the Armed Forces Hospitals in the region, Brigadier General Dr. Salem bin Ahmed Al-Qahtani. The reception team for the delegation included the Assistant of the Armed Forces Hospitals in the south, Colonel Ayed bin Abdullah Al Mardi and the Medical Director, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qahtani. The university President indicated that the visit came in accordance with the university's support for the brave soldiers who were stationed on southern borders. The President said, "Our injured soldiers won great honor, and raised the reputation of their religion, their homeland, and the leaders". The President wished the injured a speedy recovery. For his part, the Brigadier Colonel Dr. Salem bin Ahmed Al-Qahtani, welcomed the King Khalid University President and his employees by thanking them and paying gratitude for their visit to the symbols of the homeland who had sacrificed to it. Al-Qahtani added, "This visit is not strange to the university".

It is noteworthy that the visit was just a beginning of a convoy called "Through decisiveness, hope returns" which is organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University.

The Rector of King Khalid University Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood received in his office both the Professor of Sunnah and its sciences in Al-Qassim University, Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Lahim, and the Dean of the Faculty of Education who is also the Professor of Sunnah in Taibah University, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Dmvu. The Visit of the two Professors was within their academic visit to the Faculty of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals of the King Khalid University.

The visitors praised the academic level of the Faculty of Sharia, its employees, and students, stressing that the university crossed distinct steps toward success, which made it one of the most prominent universities in all aspects.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals Prof. Ahmed bin Humaid thanked the visitors on honoring the college in particular and the university in general with their visit. In addition, the Dean thanked the Rector of the university on the unwavering sponsorship and support of the college.

It is noteworthy that professors visiting the Faculty of Sharia participated in an enrichment program for the postgraduates, which is being hosted by the Faculty.

His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Aldawood received today in his office, the teacher of Interpretation and Quran Science, Dr. Zahir bin Awad Alalma'e. The visit was part of the visitor's scientific visit to the University which is a response to the invitation sent to him by the Faculty of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals. Aldawood expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Zahir, who insisted on coming despite his illness, enduring all the inconveniences. At the end of the meeting, President Aldawood used the occasion to offer a commemorative shield to the visitor.

The program of the visit included attending two forums, in which Alalma'e met graduate studies students in Faculty of Sharia. The forums will take place in the Central Stands in the evening 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Another scientific meeting is expected on Wednesday morning.

On the occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Religion Fundamentals, Dr. Ahmed bin Humaid thanked the University President for his continuous support to all the programs of the Faculty. He - the Dean - also thanked Dr. Zahir who responded to the university's invitation.

The Arabic Language Department of King Khalid University is hosting Prof. Abdulaziz Almana'e, the teacher of the Arabian Literature in King Saud University, and the Supervisor on the" Alman'e 's Chair to Study the Arabic Language, and its literature".

Almana'e holds many academic positions in some of internal and external colleges, in addition to his participation in a number of conferences and international scientific seminars. He also presented many researches, dissertations and arbitrated manuscripts.

The aim of hosting the professor is to activate the role of scientific mutual visits, and to take their advantage by attracting scientists and distinguished researchers in order to enrich the educational and research process in the university.

It is noteworthy that the visit will hold over 6 days starting from 1st to 6th  Muharram 1436 AH. Moreover, there will be a number of side meetings and lectures to discuss and analyze some books and manuscripts.

His Excellency the President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Dawood receives, in his office yesterday, the Mayor of Khamis Mushait City, Dr. Walid Abu Melha, and the Mayor Assistant, besides a number of the members of the Municipality.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Dawood welcomed the Mayor and the members of the Council at the university campus. He indicated that the university cooperation with various bodies of the region is the third main objective of the university to serve the community. He expressed the university readiness to harness all possible services to the province of Khamis.

In the context, The Mayor, Dr. Walid Abu Melha expressed his happiness for all what he noticed during his visit to the Faculty of Engineering, the classrooms and engineering workshops. He praised the leading role of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Hussein Al-Wadi'i.

Finally, Abu Melha looked forward to the fruitful cooperation between the university and the Municipality of Khamis in the field of engineering, in addition to providing technical consulting by university employees to achieve the desired objectives for the people of the province.

The President of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Dawoud inspected a number of urgent and future projects at the branch of the university in Tehama Asir. He visited the branch management new building in Mahayal Asir, then he wandered in the corridors of the building, which include administrative offices, and service departments.

Then, His Excellency met the Supervisor of the Branch, Prof. Saeed Bin Mohammed Raffa, the Dean of the Community College, a number of faculty members, and staff to discuss a number of matters that interest the branch. During the meeting, Al-Dawoud thanked all employees on all exerted efforts that are clear and touchable in the paradigm shift which currently takes place in the university colleges in Tihama.

He emphasized that the university is seeking to achieve all of the educational requirements that serve students in the Higher Education in order to improve the educational process in Asir region. He praised the attention given to King Khalid University by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Highness the Crown Prince and Crown Deputy - God Protects them – in addition to the care and follow-up of His Royal Highness, the Prince of Asir region. The University of Bishah is a clear example of this concern.

On the other hand, the President inspected the girls Colleges' buildings at Mahayil Asir branch. The visit included buildings established at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the College of Applied Medical Sciences, where he stood on the workflow, and listened to a detailed explanation of the projects, and what has been done. Additionally, His Highness did an inspecting visit to the current girls' colleges at Mahayl branch, including the Faculty of Science and the Arts, and the College of Applied Medical Sciences for Girls at Mahyail.

During the visit, the President accompanied the Vice- President, Dr. Mari Bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, and the University Vice-President for projects, Dr. Suleiman Bin Mohammed Al-Soyan, the Supervisor of the University Branch in Tehama, Dr. Saeed Bin Mohammed Raffah, and the Dean of the community service College, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qarni, besides a number of directors of relevant departments.

King Khalid University, represented by the College of Human Sciences, hosted 21 student affiliated to the Institute of Oriental Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. The students were accompanied by the Head of the delegation, the Professor of Arabic Language at the Institute, Dr. Stefan Bouchsta, and four members of the faculty.

Upon its arrival to the Faculty of Humanities, The delegation visited a number of departments. They visited the Department of History, the Department of Arabic. The delegation also visited the University Central Library, and had a look on its divisions, and what it contains of books and ancient manuscripts.

In this regard, the Head of the Austrian delegation clarified that the visit is to consolidate the concept of the Arabic language among students belonging to the Master Degree. He said, "Our University is interested in the Arabic language, so we decided to visit King Khalid University, and take advantage of the huge potential, especially in the Arabic language."

He added, "During our visit, we are also looking forward to identifying the Southern dialects, popular tradition, in addition to the discovery of the buildings, and the popular games for the sons of the South".

It is noteworthy that the delegation, before leaving, visited the Literary Club in Abha, and the Asir National Museum, as well as the village of Muftaha, the Tuesday Market, and the village of Rijal Almae.

King Khalid University, represented by the Department of Media and Communication organized an educational trip for 20 students from the department on last Tuesday and Wednesday to the city of Jeddah. The visit is a part of the training and Applied programs offered by the Department for its students, in order to identify the media work closely.

The visiting team visited the Radio and Television station, in the western region, as well as the Research Center. The team also visited Okaz and Al-Madina Newspapers.

The visitors met senior journalists, who have been experienced more than 20 years in the field of Radio and Television.

In this regard, Dr. Saeed Saeed, a Professor of Journalism at the University of King Khaled clarified that the department has arranged this visit, accompanied by three members of the faculty, ten male students, and ten female students. The visit was to identify the most important uses of technology in the Radio and Television, and how to work in the field of Television; dealing with the guest and the camera.

He also noted that the association of students with the instructive and theoretical education is no longer enough in this field. He said, "We have to establish training workshops during the study period."

He added, "Meeting journalists with long experience will benefit the students greatly."

Within the pursuit of King Khalid University to achieve academic reputation and position among the Saudi and world universities, the university, represented by the Vice-Presidency of Development and Quality and the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality under the directions of His Excellency the University President, receives a teamwork of the worldwide ranking of universities. The teamwork is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday 14 -15, Rajab, 1435 AH. It is going to determine the potential of the university and provide it with needed technical support and requirements of the ranking for the University. The team also is holding a number of meetings with His Excellency the Vice President for Development and Quality and the Deans of Supportive Deanships, Teaching Staff and students.
