The Governor of Asir region, His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, has addressed his graduating sons from King Khalid University (KKU), saying "your service at any place and in any town or village across this country is an unmatched honour, to build and to defend the homeland, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - the king of the determination and firmness - and his two great supporting young men - His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Crown Prince." This assertion came in the speech which was delivered by His Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid - the Governor of Asir region - at the graduation ceremony of 18th batch of students, totaling of 10,633, male and female combined.

       During he ceremony, His Royal Highness called for achieving the 2030 vision.

In the address, His Highness - the Governor - called on the graduating students to contribute in achieving the comprehensive and integrated vision, which is prepared as the largest development plan in the history of the Kingdom. His Highness stressed that that vision made them more satisfied with the present situation of the country and its future, and that they had stronger determination to achieve its goals under the wise leadership of King Salman and his able supporters. His Royal Highness - the Governor - finally called on the graduates to stick to official doctrines, and to be careful of any foreign influences.

His excellency was received, upon arrival at the sports stadium in Mahalh, by the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, and the members of the University Council, as well as a number of University employees. Immediately after his arrival to the venue of the ceremony, His Royal Highness - the Governor - witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the University and the Al Riyadh newspaper. The University was represented at the Signing by the adviser and spokesman of the University, the General Supervisor of Media Centre - Mr. Fahd bin Nomeh, while Riyadh newspaper was represented by its editor, Mr. Sulaiman bin Turki Al-Osaimi.

The  Rector of KKU, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, delivered a speech in which he welcomed His Royal Highness, the Governor of Asir region, who was the sponsor of the event, all attendees of virtue and Excellency, and the parents of graduating students, saying, "I welcome your Excellency's presence as a supportive and encouraging honorable gesture, and greetings to the audience present at the graduation ceremony of this constellation of our University students, sharing their joy your Excellency, is the supportive and encouraging forward-looking moment, and here are your children making you glad by their graduation and by their excellence, and that they promise you to be the base of goodness and blessing in the process of the development of their generous homeland."
Rector Al Dawood congratulated the parents of the graduating students for reaping the fruit of the hard work of their children, saying "I congratulate you for these children's fruits of diligence, they will serve their religion, their homeland and their rulers, so thank you for raising up your children well, and for educating them well, in order to achieve your objective."

Al Dawood to the students: "I boast of you the near and the far, and we congratulate ourselves and the nation because of you, and we congratulate you for your homeland and its wise leadership."

Rector Al Dawood delivered a word for the graduating students through which he expressed his overwhelming happiness because of that glorious day and said, "I boast of you the near and the far, and we congratulate ourselves and the nation because of you, and we congratulate you for your homeland and for its wise leadership, who has given you all the opportunities, and who supported you, so you should reciprocate to your homeland with honesty and sincerity." His Excellency the Rector added, "Be a good example in your community so the homeland advances because of you, you are our hope and our promise, so be as much as the aspirations of our king, King Salman - the king of firmness and determination. You are the hope of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (may Allah protect him) in achieving the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2030, and beware of the people of deviant thought, and follow moderation, because it is one of the doctrines of your true religion, and have trust in your leadership and support them against the enemies of religion, of the homeland and of intellect. You are the real fuel for the journey of this generous country. "

His Excellency the Rector concluded his speech by praising Allah - Almighty - and by thanking our wise leadership, as well as His Royal Highness - the Governor of Asir region. He also thanked the employees of the university, all parents, all those in attendance, the organizers of the ceremony, and the General Presidency for Youth Welfare for their cooperation in hosting the celebration. Finally, and as always, the Rector reminded the audience that in that joy, they must not forget their brothers - soldiers stationed on the boarder, saying "we should pray for them that may Allah grant them victory, and may He support them, we shall pray for the mercy of Allah on the martyrs and we shall pray for the healing the wounded. We pray to Allah to perpetuate the grace of this nation and its security in light of our wise leadership".

Next, was time for a scene by fathers who were working in the state sector. They clarified that during those years they worked for religion, for the King, and for the nation. They explained that they had served the country in various fields and now it is your - the graduating students - responsibility.
Then, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, at KKU, Dr. Sultan Al Farah, announced the final result of the graduates and congratulated all of them, appreciating their association with the Deanship since joining the university until today, wishing them a bright future. Dr. Al Farah explained that the number of all graduating students of the year reached 10,633 students, of whom 905 students are of diploma program, while the number of Bachelor degree students reached 8,278. In high studies, the number reached 600 students who got the master's degree, and 79 students received a doctorate degree. The number of the graduates of the educational Diploma was 500 students. Dr. Al Farah further said, "let me out of here, and proudly, spread the word and scatter roses, and congratulate the hope of tomorrow and the stars of our bright university, the university of excellence and leadership, the insistence and determined university, which we all seek to reach the top".

Dr. Al Farah stressed that the Admission and Registration Deanship accompanied the students in the step by step successful trip they made to themselves and to their homeland since the receipt of the acceptance decision until the receipt of the graduation certificates, during which the services of the Deanship were provided through more than 250 e-Services, and through a number of means of official and social media. Dr. Al Farah concluded by saying, "set off to the field of spacious work vigorously, and be the best ambassadors of your university, and give this great country something in return".

After that everyone watched a movie about a graduate student trip, directed by Mohammed Ahmed Al-Kaabi. The scenario was by Dr. Nasser Komishan, and the starring was by the student - Abdulrahman Qthomh. The idea of the film was about a diligent student moved from secondary school to university level. Then his thoughts were affected after entering Internet sites, and some intellectually deviant accounts that were about to end his life. He had a brother who was stationed on Al Had Al Janoubi, and he died there. That made the student to return to his senses and regretted on following-up of such accounts and deviant sites. He was able to come back to his life again, and to pay attention to his studies, as well as to get up again and deliver the graduates speech in four languages (Latin, French, English as well as Arabic), in which he said "Yes, we are the stars of tonight, and we are the knights of it, after years of diligence and perseverance, we are now about to graduate, praise be to our Lord much praise and many thanks."

"We are today about to approach graduation, and tomorrow we will be in the arena of work, so I would recommend myself, and you to take into account sincerity and honesty, and to be a construction worker and a giving hand, and added value to improve our beloved homeland in all our fields, and our specialties, and we take great care to master our work, by all of our knowledge and skill. "
Ben Qtomh also thanked those who have exerted the dear and precious efforts in order to reach what they are on now. He added "There is no good in us if we did not acknowledge their favor on us, so thank you our fathers and mothers for all the time you spent to take care of us, and for the exhausting effort to raise us, thank you for the money expended in order to provide our needs, thank you as wide as heaven, and thanks is not enough, may Allah grant you best reward and may He have mercy on those who passed away of you.

At the end of his speech, he clarified that the students were determined to be loyal to their country and their leadership, and they were seeking for the glory of their homeland and its sublimity, and that they would contribute in making the country to be in the first rank of the world in the solid doctrine, and in the relentless vim, and soon the world would see their home lofty - God willing.
At the end of the ceremony, His Royal Highness - the Governor - handed certificates to the first graduates. Then, His Royal Highness received a trophy from His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University.

The University holds a graduation ceremony for more than 10.000 students.

The Governor of Asir region patronizes the graduation ceremony of the 18th group of students of King Khalid University tomorrow

The Governor of Asir region, His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, will tomorrow evening (Tuesday), sponsor the graduation ceremony of 18th batch of students of King Khalid University for the academic year 1436 AH / 1437 AH. The venue of the ceremony is the Prince Sultan Sports City in Mahalah. and the time is after the sunset prayer. The number of graduating students has reached more than 10,300 students.

His Excellency, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, has expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal, the Governor of Asir region, for his patronage of the graduation ceremony of the university students, and for his sharing with them the joy of their graduation. The Rector said that the Presence of His Royal Highness at the ceremony was an  indication of the keenness and interest of the leaders and the rulers  of this blessed country - may Allah save them - in supporting the journey of education, as  well as an indication of the particular attention and the keenness of his Excellency - the Governor - to support all university activities, and to share with the students all the different achievements and their joy, on the day of their educational harvest.

Rector Al Dawood confirmed that the university was proud of its graduating students who are armed with science and knowledge in all scientific and theoretical disciplines, and who would contribute in the building and the elevation of the country effectively in the comprehensive development witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields, and "that will be achieved by the Grace of Allah  - the Almighty - and then by the aid and the support of our wise government – may Allah save it "asking Allah guidance and success for the graduates in their future life. At the conclusion of his statement, Rector Al Dawood congratulated the graduating students and their parents for graduating, expressing the university's happiness for the graduation of this constellation of students.

The Dean of Admissions and Registration in the University, Dr. Sultan Bin Saad Al Farah, praised the auspices of His Royal Highness - Governor of Asir region - to celebrate the university graduation of 18th batch of male and female students, distributed across the following various educational stages: 740 in High Studies programs, 8,202 in bachelor's degrees, 570 in Higher Diploma and 879 in diploma.
Dr. Al Farah congratulated the graduates for what they accomplished because of their perseverance and hard work, and urged them to make every effort to contribute in the revival of their homeland and prosperity.

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdul Aziz, the Governor of Asir region, on Tuesday, 18/06/1436 AH, sponsored the graduation ceremony of the 17th batch of King Khalid University (KKU) students. The event took place in the city of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz in Mahalh.

Upon the Governor's arrival, the national anthem was played. The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Then, the Prince watched a march from the graduating students. After that, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Al Dawood gave a word in which he welcomed His Highness the Governor of Asir Province - the sponsor of the event. He also welcomed the other dignified attendees and the parents of the alumni. The Rector said, "Your Highness, your attendance is a tribute to knowledge and to its seekers and it is an honor for all of us. We are used to such support from your Highness, and we appreciate your attachment to all achievements in the region, particularly at King Khalid University - in all its faculties - scientific, medical, and literary departments. The University has taken upon itself the responsibility to spread university education in all its levels and in different programs. Moreover, the University continues to keep up to date, in order to serve and contribute to the development of this dear country. You Highness, you are greeted and welcomed, as your presence is a testimony of your support to this constellation of graduates, and your sharing with them the joy of this unforgettable moment, is highly appreciated, and will remain in our memory". To the parents, the Rector added," We couldn't forget the parents' role, who helped their children to reach this position. Now, you are harvesting the fruit of your effort, direction, and education. You will live with the joy of your sons and daughters, whom you are sharing with them this happiest moment in their lives" The Rector further added, addressing the alumni," It is your moment, your ceremony, and your joy. I am overwhelmed with happiness, because you have kept your promise and have been truthful with yourselves, your parents, and the governors. Now, you are harvesting the fruits of your efforts. You are a source of honor to your university, to your professors, and to your country. You have passed the attainment stage, now you are launching a different stage - the stage of giving to this generous country. So, try to be in line with the aspirations of the country, keeping in mind that, as much you are in need of your country, your country is also in need of you. Let's see what you can do, as we are proud of you and are expecting a lot from you"

After that, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Sultan Saad Al Fareh announced the graduates' final result. He congratulated them and expressed how close all academic and non academic staff were to the students since joining the university till this moment of graduation, wishing them a bright future.  In detail, he clarified the overall result for graduates -males and females for this year 1435/1436 AH. The total number of graduates from the King Khalid University for this year reached 10, 598 students. 793 of them graduated in Diploma under higher education. 7,919 students graduated in the Bachelor degree. In postgraduates, 1,257 students graduated in the Masters degree, and 79 students graduated in the Doctorate degree. Finally, the number of Graduates of the degree of Educational Diploma is 550 students.

Then, Al Fareh addressed the graduates, saying "your religion is your own responsibility, and also your country, your leaders, and your families who exerted their best efforts to see you through. Let's be a decisively protective shield against any envious, spiteful, and indignant of this secure country"

Two of the graduating students - Khalid Al-Qahtani and Abrar Al-Qahtani - gave a speech, on behalf of the graduates, in which they welcomed His Highness the Governor of Asir region, the Rector of KKU, their parents, and all the guests present. In their words, they expressed the joy of that graduation, expressing their desire to contribute to nation-building, and community service. They further thanked the wise national leadership, which seeks to promote education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and spread it everywhere. In addition, the speakers thanked the Governor for sponsoring the graduation ceremony. Al-Qahtani asked his fellow graduates to stand in recognition of their attending mothers. Then, the student Abdul Aziz Abu Daser delivered a poem on the occasion.

In conclusion, His Royal Highness launched the e-services of the Deanship of Admission and Registration: "Academic Program", which includes more than 250 electronic services for students, in addition to the electronic scheduling courses and examinations schedules, as well as the immediate admission of students. After that, the Governor handed the first places graduates the certificates, after which he himself received a commemorative shield from the Rector of the University. At the end of the ceremony, the graduates of the University did an action, showing their loyalty and love to this country. They also emphasized their willingness to stand side by side with the leadership. 

During the ceremony, students stand "out of respect and homage" to their attending mothers.

On this occasion, the Rector of King Khalid University, Prof. Abdulrahman Hamad Al Dawood expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Governor of Asir province for his patronage of the graduation ceremony of university students and for sharing with his children the joy of graduation. The Rector noted that the event is an evidence of the keenness of the rulers in this blessed country to support the education process. In addition, the Rector clarified that the event is an evidence of the Governor's keenness to support different activities and events of the University. The Governor always shares with the students their different achievements.

Commenting about the event, President Al Dawood said that the university is proud of its alumni who are armed with academic knowledge in all disciplines, both theoretical and practical, and who will contribute effectively in the construction and the elevation of this country: Construction would be within the overall development being witnessed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various fields, and "This will be achieved thanks to God - the Almighty - and then with the support and assistance of our leaders – may God help them ", "I pray God to grant the alumni success in their future endeavors.

At the end of his statement about the event, the Rector congratulated the parents of the students on the graduation of their children, expressing the University's happiness about the graduation of this constellation of students.

 

For his part, the Dean of Admission and Registration of the University, Dr. Sultan Bin Saad Al Fareh highly appreciated the patronage of His excellency the Governor Asir region to the graduation celebration of the 17th batch of males and females students. The students belong to various levels of education as follows: 79 graduates are of the doctoral degree, 1,257 are of the Master degree, 7,919 are of Bachelor degree, 550 in the diploma of education, and 793 in diploma.

Talking about the event, Dr. Sultan Al Fareh congratulated the alumni on the achievement they accomplished so far, saying such achievement "is as a natural result of their perseverance and hard work". He further called on the alumni to put all their efforts towards contributing to the renaissance and prosperity of the Kingdom.

It is noteworthy that the graduation ceremony for male students will be held under the patronage of His Highness the Governor of Asir in the Prince Sultan Sports City in Mahayal, while the graduation ceremony for female students, will take place in the University Theater, in the University City in Abha, after Maghrib prayer.

King Khalid University celebrated the 16th graduation of the university female students at the university theater, Al-jrejer, 26/6/1435AH. The ceremony witnessed honoring graduates of Doctoral, Master, and BA graduates.

On this occasion, the President of the University, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al-Dawood, gave a recorded word, thanking His Highness, the Prince of Asir region, for his patronage of the ceremony and his participation in the students' joy of graduation. He said, "This proves the leaders' and governors' care and interest- God protect them - in this blessed country to support the education process."

He added, "The University is proud of its graduates, male and female, who are armed with science and knowledge in all scientific, theoretical, and medical disciplines to contribute to the building and the welfare of this country."

In this regard, the Vice-President of the Admission and Registration Deanship, Dr. Hanan Al-Saadi, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the leader of the march to Higher Education, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdulla Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness, the Prince of Asir region, Prince Faisal Bin Khalid.

Al-Saadi said that the total number of graduates this year reached 12 163 students, male and female, and the number of graduates of the literary sections reached 6 711 students, 55% of the graduates.

 

The number of graduates from scientific, medical, engineering, and computer departments reached 5 425 students, 45% of the graduates.

Al-Saadi also confirmed that the university is seeking to create disciplines needed by the labor market. She explained that the number of Graduate Studies students is growing. She stressed that the following years will witness remarkable growth and a significant increase.

The Prince of Asir Region, His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul Aziz, honors the university’s 16th graduation ceremony today, 22/6/1435 AH. The ceremony held at the University Theater, Al-jrejer after Al-Maghrib (Sunset prayers) in the attendance of King Khalid University President, Prof. Abdulrahman Bin Hamid Al-Dawood.

His Excellency, the University President, Prof. Abdul Rahman Bin Hamad Al Dawood, clarified that the patronage of His Highness, the Prince of the Asir region, of the ceremony and his sharing of the graduation joy with his children is evidence of the keenness of His Highness and the leaders in this blessed country – may Allah save them- to support the education process.

Al-Dawood added that, "… the university is proud of its alumni, who are armed with science and knowledge in all scientific, medical and theoretical disciplines, so that they can contribute to building and elevating  this country, as well as taking part in  the overall development witnessed by the Kingdom in various fields."

Well-organized Graduation Ceremony for female Alumni

In this regard, the university Vice-President for Girls' College, the Chairman of the organizing committee of graduation ceremony, Prof. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Salateen confirmed that the ceremony is an unforgettable moment for all students, male and female, so we it is a must to show it off properly.  He added that the university is delivering to the community a constellation of scientific, academic and cognitive cadres in all fields. The number of graduates reaches 12163 alumni affiliated to different colleges at different governorates of the region of Asir and from different scientific degrees: Doctorate, Master, Postgraduate Diploma, BA, and Applied Diploma. There will be a well-organized Graduation Ceremony for female Alumni besides a party for each college of the university.

In this regard, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, Dr. Saad Bin Mohammed Dajm, confirmed that the total number of graduates amounts to 12163  students, "… as the number of graduates for Doctoral degree reaches 8,  Master’s graduates 872, Diploma graduates 669, while the total number of graduates for the BA degree, male and female reaches 9869, and Applied Diploma 745.

He added that each year the university delivers groups of students to the labor market to start leading the development process of this generous country …

The alumni expressed their happiness about this occasion, showing that all efforts that were exerted last years vanished this day. They confirmed that they are harvesting today the results of science and knowledge and they are willing to serve their community and take part in its development and to move forward the wheel of economy and development. They also express their desire to obtain job opportunities that of course should be suitable for them.
